It costs five times as much to get rid of them and hurts five times as much! My fifth laser treatment. Owwwww!

Edit: for anyone interested there’s a documentary on Netflix called Erasing Hate, which shows the process and what made me make an appointment after seeing the results.

Plus, you’ll look like the puss-exploding virus thing from the X-Files

How long did you have the tattoo before you started regretting it?

Well, I got it when I was 20 during the peak of UFC bro tribals and I’m 30 now. I was looking into laser removal for a few years now.

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

(And I got my first tattoo at 16, not judging that at all. But I'm sure as hell dying with it still on me)

Um..won’t there be a scar in its place once it’s gone?

Nope, shouldn't.

But you know those are going to be back in style in 15 years.

I am very thankful I have never gotten one. The fear of a buyers remorse or instant regret kept me away. Even though I have gone with people and it looks enticing, I don't think I'll ever do it.

Been waiting for this post for years. Not that I want or need anyone to be in pain, but a blindman could see that this would become a thing when getting tatoos became THE popular and fashionable thing to do years ago. Trends come and go, but tats are ‘forever’. They make a poor choice for a fad. Certainly I don’t know why the OP is getting the removal, but I have a feeling there are more than a few folks looking at this option. Good luck with the treatments.

I think a better lesson is “don’t get tattoos without wondering how they’ll look in old age”. But that looks seriously painful. Luckily, I've no tattoos, nor will I ever get any!

Yeah, I’ll pass on the whole tattoo thing completely.

I only have three tattoos right now. I’m 40. I don’t regret any of them and plan on adding a few more later this year; one very soon, actually.
